You are invited to join us on Halloween Night as we bring you back into the 1920’s, of evenings of “Gangsters”, “Molls”, “Glams” and get “Zozzled”. Imagine that you’re partying in a scene from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel.
1920’s attire is encourages. (ie. flappers dresses, suit and top hats for the guys, etc.)
Did you know that in the ’20s, bimbo was used to mean “a tough guy”; butt me was “to take a cigarette”; and handcuff and manacle meant engagement and wedding ring? A person who was divorced was out on parole, a gimlet was “a chronic bore,” and the exclamation “Nerts!” meant “I am amazed.”
